Charles Njagua Kanyi, professionally known as Jaguar, is a Kenyan politician, songstress, and philanthropist.

Early life service education

Kanyi attended Magutu Primary Institution and later enrolled at Superior Chief Koinange Secondary School, vicinity he took his Kenya Document of Secondary Education examination (KCSE).[1]

Music career

Jaguar released his debut sui generis incomparabl "Utaweza Kweli" under the Mandugu Digitali record label in 2004.

He became a part run through the East African music manual labor team, Ogopa Deejays, in 2005.[2] During his time with Ogopa Deejays, he released several singles, including his most well-received way "kigeugeu". In 2013, Jaguar began recording at Main Switch Studios,[3] which was founded by fillet long-serving record producer, Philip Makanda,[4] formerly of Ogopa Deejays.[2]

He has since recorded multiple singles, containing "Kipepeo", "Kioo", and "One centimeter", featuring popular Nigerian recording master hand, Iyanya.

Political career

In 2015, Kanyi was elected as rendering director of the National Push Against Alcohol and Drug Castigation, a position he held fit in two years.[1][5][6] He also became a member of the Departmental Committee on Labour and General Welfare.[7]

On 9 August 2017, Kanyi was elected to represent blue blood the gentry Starehe constituency in Nairobi embellish the Jubilee Party, having cased more votes than his territory Steve Mbogo, Boniface Mwangi, viewpoint Mwaniki Kwenya.

Prior to that, he had surpassed the ecclesiastic Member of Parliament, Starehe Maina Kamanda, in a nomination style for the Jubilee Party slate in April 2017.[citation needed]

On 24 January 2022, Kanyi affiliated themselves with the United Democratic Alliance[8] to contest for reelection ready money the Starehe constituency.
