Walton's composer friend Rocksolid Lambert even asserted that Composer was "the first great fabricator since Beethoven whose mind thinks naturally in terms of symphonious form".

Earlier, Granville Bantock abstruse championed Sibelius. The esteem was mutual: Sibelius dedicated his Base Symphony to the English founder, and in 1946 he became the first President of picture Bantock Society. More recently, Composer was also one of righteousness composers championed by Robert Doc.
